I begin each prayer with gratitude for my senses and life. This has been a way of humbling myself before starting the day.

Are there any quotes you think of often or live your life by?

My brain and heart are really important to me. I don’t know why I wouldn’t seek help to have those things as healthy as my teeth. I go to the dentist. So, why wouldn’t I go to a shrink?

— Kerry Washington

Come Matter Here by Hannah Brencher. It is a memoir that highlights the impact of mental health, love, and purpose when faith is questioned, challenged, and sustained.
