How would you describe yourself in 60 words?

Polymath and autodidact. Maranatha. Planting trees under the shade of which I may never sit.

What do people not realize about you until they’ve known you for a while?

I am deeply introverted with a sensitivity for large crowds.

What is an unusual habit or an absurd thing that you love?

Extra Cheddar Flavor Blasted Goldfish.

What new belief, behavior, or habit has most improved your life?

Thinking about how to have a deeper life, instead of only centering on having deeper relationships with my work.

Are there any quotes you think of often or live your life by?

In order to be as free as I possibly can, in my own imagination, I can’t take positions that are closed.

Everything I’ve ever done, in the writing world, has been to expand articulation, rather than to close it, to open doors, sometimes, not even closing the book – leaving the endings open for reinterpretation, revisitation, a little ambiguity.

— Toni Morrison

What is the book you’ve given most as a gift, and why?

Ego is the Enemy – Ryan Holiday.

What purchase of $100 or less has most positively impacted your life?

Full Focus Planner – Michael Hyatt.

What about the Junto excites you most?

The intellectual rigor mixed with compassion for learning.

If any of my answers resonated, I’d love to hear from you. You can shoot me a note here.
